Respect Life Day 2019

On September 14, nearly fifty attendees gathered at the NH Institute of Politics at Saint Anselm College for a series of workshops for Respect Life Day.

The morning session was led by Angela Franks, Ph.D. theologian, speaker, writer, and mother of six. She also serves as Professor of Theology at St. John's Seminary in Boston. Dr. Franks discussed Margaret Sanger's eugenic mindset, how that influenced Planned Parenthood, and how St. John Paul II's theology of the body provides an anthropological corrective for our troubled times.

Afterward, Bob Dunn, Director of Public Policy for the Diocese of Manchester, provided an update on life-related legislation in the 2019 session of the NH General Court.

The day was concluded with a final presentation by Fr. Maurice Larochelle, pastor of Ste. Marie Parish in Manchester, on the importance of replenishing spirits for those involved in pro-life advocacy.
