Call to Pray an Act of Reparation

June 16, Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus: Call to Pray an Act of Reparation

The following is a statement to the faithful from Bishop Libasci:

“I have received this letter from the President of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB). Given the sadness of the situation, as you will note, the blasphemy, ridicule of love of God and overriding spirit of contempt for religious women in this present age are unthinkable displays that reflect the need for Christ the Good Shepherd to lead people of good will away from employing these kinds of disturbing antics. The statement reflects the true spirit of such a response.

On Friday June 16, 2023, the Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, I ask all of our Faithful to pray with us at some time between the hours of 12 PM Noon and 3PM during which continuous prayers will be offered in the presence of the Most Blessed Sacrament at St. Joseph Cathedral. We will arrange for the livestreaming of these three hours of prayer and encourage your participation as you are able.”
